Janmashtami Celebration in Montreal

Discovered by Jacques Cartier in 1535, the Candian city hosts population of almost every single nationality. Montreal also resounds with the celebration of Janmashtami. Devotees throng the local temple to offer their prayers to Lord. Fasting is a common ritual observed by quite a few Indians. The festivity also included bharat natya performance by La troupe Kala Bharti of Krishna Items at Radha Manohar temple to mark the festival. Religious organizations organize discourses on teachings of Lord Krishna, stage dramas and chanting during the festival.
